Uniting for Sisaket: Teens Next Gen Volunteers Support ‘Sound of Sisaket 2023’ Creative City Festival

The Teens Next Gen project, initiated by Principal Healthcare Group and Princ Hospital Sisaket, in collaboration with the Pongsak Viddayakorn Foundation, supported youth volunteers at the “Sound of Sisaket 2023” event—a creative city festival that aims to promote deeper understanding of Sisaket through the power of music. The event was organized by the Creative Economy Agency (CEA), a public organization, to give young people hands-on experiences that contribute to community and social development in a creative way.

When thinking about secondary provinces in Northeastern Thailand, which one comes to mind? Sisaket is a small city filled with charm and diversity—home to six ethnic groups: Suay, Lao, Yer, Khmer, Chinese, and Thai. This cultural blend makes Sisaket uniquely rich in music and art.

The Sound of Sisaket 2023 event highlights the warmth and beauty of the city, showcasing traditional lifestyles and the sounds of "music" played using ancient instruments and creative reinterpretations. Together, Sisaket is crafting a future of creative growth—inviting young people to think boldly, act creatively, and express themselves freely.

This time, the Teens Next Gen project—anchored in Principal Healthcare’s Sisaket branch—and the Pongsak Viddayakorn Foundation jointly selected and supported 13 youth volunteers to assist tourists at various event locations with professionalism and enthusiasm.

PRINC “PSARN” (Harmony)—uniting strength, spirit, and compassion—is a guiding principle of Principal Healthcare. We are committed to nurturing youth who are deeply connected to people, society, community, and the environment. We believe the best kind of growth is the kind we experience together. That is why PRINC PSARN gave rise to Teens Next Gen—a bridge between Principal, a leader in healthcare, and the local community.

Speaking of creativity, we cannot forget CEA, the Creative Economy Agency, which collaborates under the Thailand Creative District Network (TCDN) to foster networks of creative economic zones in more than 33 cities nationwide, including 8 provinces in the Northeastern region: Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Ratchasima, Roi Et, Sisaket, Loei, and Udon Thani.

Sisaket was selected as a TCDN member in 2020 to support representatives from each region with urban development experts. Together, they aim to discover, develop, and add value to local assets—transforming their communities into Creative Districts that sustainably improve residents' quality of life.
